Privacy policy
EE-Oz Training Standards (hereafter EE-Oz) is subject to the provisions of the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 and complies with the National Privacy Principles (NPPs) outlined therein. Any information you provide to us, including personal/business details, is handled in accordance with strict guidelines to ensure your confidentiality while interacting with our content, products and services. Why does EE-Oz collect information?
As an Industry Skills Council (ISC), EE-Oz collects information from a broad range on industry stakeholders (including governments, training organisations, enterprise, employee and employer representatives) to ensure industry has access to effective training and workforce development programs to meets its skill needs. Ensuring that all stakeholders have an active voice in this process requires a comprehensive and transparent consultation structure. To demonstrate the scope of this consultation, EE-Oz is required to report to Government and the public on the nature and source of advice we receive. Collecting this information is necessary to ensure that the Training Packages reflect the needs of industry and to make it easier and more rewarding for enterprise to engage with the training system.
What information does EE-Oz collect?
EE-Oz collects personal information in order to properly and efficiently carry out its function; to unite industry, educators and governments on a common industry-led agenda for action on skills and workforce development. This being said, personal information will only be used for the purpose it has been provided and will not be disseminated without the user’s consent. You may use this website without disclosing personal information and this information will not be collected unless you choose to submit it. When a visit is made to this website, the server provider makes a record of the visit and logs the following information: · the user's server address · the user's top level domain name (for example .com, .gov, .au, .uk etc) · the date and time of visit to the site · the pages accessed and documents viewed the previous site visited, and · the type of browser used The data listed above is collected for the following purposes: · website and system administration · including monitoring to prevent security breaches · enhancement of the website to the user's needs, and · research and development No attempt will be made to identify users or their browsing activities, except where required by law. The EE-Oz Training Standards publication system also records the email address and category of requests for publications, in order to measure demand and ordering. This data is used to help track requirements for print runs of publications and products, and to assess the popularity of various publications made available on this site.
How do we protect your information?
In accordance with the NPPS, EE-Oz takes reasonable steps to protect the security of its web environment, internal network and databases from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure. EE-Oz staff are trained to respect the confidentiality of personal information and the privacy of individuals and enterprises. Under the Privacy Act 1988 you are entitled to view and correct any personal information held by EE-Oz (subject to restrictions on such access/alteration of records under the applicable provisions of any law of the Commonwealth).
Do we use cookies?
A cookie is a small string of text stored on a user's computer by the website server to uniquely identify your browser. As text, cookies are not executable, they cannot replicate themselves and are not viruses. EE-Oz utilises cookies to ‘remember’ your browser between page visits and for authorisation purposes in accessing restricted content.
